Meetings are held regularly throughout the season (September to May inclusive) generally on the second Thursday of each month. Meetings begin at 7.15pm and are usually concluded by 9.30pm.

“A day in the life of a PGMOL Assessor”
Played football until the age of 29 (Essex Senior League); began refereeing in 1982 and progressed to Football League Assistant Referee in 1988/1989, was appointed Panel League Referee and FA Premier League Assistant Referee a year later and stayed at this status until he retired from active service at the end of season 1996/97; career highlights: matches at Wembley Stadium as 4th Official for England v Brazil 1992 and as
Assistant Referee for the 1993 Charity Shield Arsenal v Man Utd.; at the end of his refereeing career he was invited to become an Assessor and continued in this role until the present date; currently operates as an Assessor at Panel, Football League and FA Premier League levels; married to Helen the Club Secretary at Southend United; they have 2 children Giles 4 years and Jacob 3 years.
